Date: 05-May-09
Author: Amy Nancarrow

Grants are currently open for Emerging Needs applications.

The City of Melbourne Community Services Grants Program provides an
opportunity for Council to support the community in taking an active role
in their city. The Community Services Grants Program is available to not-forprofit
organisations seeking to undertake a project that fits with the
overall direction of the council.

The maximum amount of funding available is $5000.

This year the priorities for the Community Action on the Environment category are greenhouse, water, waste and recycling and green spaces.

If your environmental project meets the Emerging Needs criteria and will be completed by the end of 2009, you can apply for an Emerging Needs grant until
the end of May.

Alternately, for projects for the 2010 calendar year you are able to apply
for a Community Action on the Environment grant from 14 April
until 22 May 2009.
