Tyre Stewardship Australia
Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) is the tyre industry’s official product stewardship scheme. TSA manages the accreditation and auditing process of all the industry members, with the objective to increase the number of end-of-life tyres collected that are put to a sustainable end-use.
TSA is an ACCC approved, Federal and State Government supported industry product stewardship scheme that is working to create sustainable solutions for used tyres. The voluntary Scheme is funded by tyre manufacturers Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear/Dunlop, Kumho, Michelin, Pirelli, Toyo and Yokohama.
TSA has three broad objectives
- Establishing an industry accreditation and reporting scheme targeting the promotion of sustainable action and tracking the waste stream.
- Developing consumer and industry awareness of the challenge and the need to work with, or purchase from, TSA accredited entities.
- Supporting and promoting research and development of recycling uses for tyre-derived material, thus helping to create domestic markets for end-of-life tyres.
With the equivalent of over 56 Million used tyres generated annually, Australia-wide, your involvement is essential. It is free to participate and it’s a simple commitment that will make a sustainable difference.
